Position Overview:

Ambri is seeking a seasoned corporate communications professional to help manage communications for several business units. The Director of Marketing and Public Relations will lead Ambri’s market-focused efforts to establish itself as a future leader in the long duration energy storage industry. The Director is also responsible for the company’s external messaging and reputation, social media presence, communications to and amongst our employees, and managing all aspects of the firm’s brand. In addition, the Director of Marketing and PR will manage communications for the company and will be responsible for implementing proactive communications plans, managing communications around transactions, and proactive and reactive media relations. The Director will also work closely with stakeholders across the firm – senior leadership, sales professionals, cross-business corporate functions and finance, among others.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops departmental strategy and manages budget and resources in alignment with annual plans
  • Work collaboratively with peers to ensure the organization has the communications and marketing support to reach its goals and objectives
  • Lead the organization’s press and public relations strategy
  • Develop and present strategic points of view as needed and craft talking points and/or messaging materials around key organizational initiatives
  • Oversee the creation of OpEds, press releases, and respond to media inquiries
  • Develop a metrics program to measure marketing effectiveness
  • Oversee social media and content creation strategies
  • Develop strategic briefs for PR and creative contractors/agencies, driven by insights that will motivate action from the target audience(s)
  • Responsible for managing external agency and freelance partners
  • Oversee production of content, ensuring approved customer facing deliverables come to life in support of the broader vision
  • Serve as the lead for managing presence at high-profile brand events
  • Oversee the organization’s content and communications calendar
  • Be the ‘last eyes’ on crucial communications going out from the organization
  • Manage a team of two employees and multiple contractors with an eye toward efficiency and growth

Requirements 

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience leading communications and marketing for an organization
  • Previous management/leadership experience
  • Proven track record of developing successful communications campaign Experienced with marketing metrics and evaluation
  • Knowledgeable of trends and platforms in digital communications
  • Significant experience managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrable experience ensuring message and brand consistency
  • Experience developing organizational narratives
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
