Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking an Engineering Technician to support seals work by loading furnaces, completing pre-defined tests, and logging information. Working within the Cell Development Team, this hands-on role requires an individual who excels with attention to detail. Will be responsible for handling delicate equipment, parts, and accuracy in report logging. As a collaborative teammate, this role reports to the Senior Manager, receives guidance and mentorship by our Seals Team Lead, and works alongside leading battery scientists and engineers daily.



  • Assemble and leak-check high temperature brazed seals for Ambri's liquid metal battery
  • Pull parts from inventory and prepare for assembly
  • Load and unload seals from braze furnace operations
  • Work collaboratively and closely with Engineers to execute on experimental plans
  • Strictly follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Log all essential information from daily tasks into appropriate databases




  • Minimum, High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to be a responsible and reliable team member capable of performing hands-on work requiring dexterity and the ability to carefully hand assemble small parts
  • Prior experience performing laboratory experiments or general comfort of working in a laboratory or industrial work environment, ideal
  • Ability to be flexible in assignments from day-to-day
  • Experience with brazing, leak checking, or working on industrial equipment, preferred
  • Effective communication skills including listening and speaking
  • Receptive to feedback with experience demonstrating growth from it
  • Eager to be a valuable team player
  • Some level of comfort working on computers, including with MS Office suite, namely Outlook and Excel
